Teach English in Spain living with a local host family

Homestay Exchange Program in Spain

Homestays with families in Spain (Madrid, La Coruña, Jerez, Cádiz, Vigo, Burgos, Barcelona, etc.)

There is no compensation, this is an Accommodation Exchange

Families in Madrid and elsewhere in Spain, offer full board (free meals and accommodation) with your own room in the family's home. This offer mostly applies to Native English speakers from the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Most people who take advantage of this are typically under 30 years old. This IS what families request.

Host families can't wait to have English Speakers over so they can practice English at home!

Living with a Spanish family means you will be welcomed into a comfortable home. You won’t have to worry about finding a room in a student apartment or buying blankets and towels. You will be a guest of someone who really wants to share their home with you! This is a great option for those who may not be ready for complete independence and who may be prone to homesickness.

In exchange for the host family's welcome all you need to do is engage in conversational English for 2 hours every evening with the host family, Monday to Thursday only. You can do your own thing during the day and Friday to Sunday!

Your deal is making sure the family engages in English for TWO hours per night Mon-Thurs, and for this you are getting full board and free accommodation with the family.

Important:
This is NOT a job we are offering, but a chance to come live in Spain for a few weeks or months and enjoy the Spanish lifestyle at its fullest!

This is an offer of accommodation with nice families who have already done this in the past and can't wait to practice English at home, with you.

You are responsible to keep your own room tidy and proper at all times. This way if there is a maid in the home he/she can easily clean up. There is NO eating in the room. Eating should be carried out in the dining room or kitchen.

You can earn some money by privately tutoring English outside the family, take Spanish lessons, visit the city or travel during the weekends -- this is totally up to you. If you can legally work in Europe you can also find a job.

If you are interested or know someone who might be, please send me your Resume/CV and I will contact you for an interview over Facebook or Skype. Before you commit, I will put you in touch with the family (via email or videocall) so that you can find out more about them, making sure it's a good match.
I will also NEED a Background Check.

References and testimonials upon request.

Homestays are a minimum of 1 month, and typically last for up to 3 months (Length is flexible)

There is an administration fee of Euro250, payable within the next 24 hours after you have met the family via videocall and you have all their details in terms of location, address, phone and e-mail.
Plane Ticket to Spain is NOT included. You must pay for your own plane ticket to Spain.

Summarizing,
The process is as follows:

1. I need your Résumé/CV, age, 3 pictures and period of the year you would like to come.
2. Then we need to schedule a videocall interview on Zoom
3. After the videocall I will start proposing a family to you (their location, photos, time of the year and period)
4. If you like the family and their location, we shall schedule a videocall with them.
5. If both parties think it is a good match it is a go!
6. Payment via PayPal or Venmo, or Bank Transfer will happen ONLY once you have met the family via videocall, and before paying you will also have been provided with their phone, address and photos.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
